THE BERLIN AIRLIFT
When Stalin decided to block access to East Berlin
because he wanted the other half too, the US sent in a giant
airlift which provided them with fuel food and equipment. They
provided tons of food, and eventually Stalin ended the blockade.

formed because they were scared communnism would take over europe.
In response the Soviets made the Warsaw Pact.

Joe McCathy was a Senator from Wisconsin who used the korean war to build
fear of communism. He started a large hunt for communists, which wrecked
thousands of careers. He lead the red scare, where people accused each other of being communists
just like the Salem witch trials. It was called McCarthyism
